Algeria's coach, Christian Gourcuff announced on Monday his 23-man list for next-year's Africa Cup of Nations.

The French tactician held over the majority of the World Cup squad, with 19 of the players rejoining the side after the team’s international successes this past summer.

Real Betis midfielder Foued Kadir and Parma forward Ishak Belfodil, who did not play in the World Cup, have been added to Gourcuff's list.

Cordoba forward Nabil Ghilas was ruled out from the squad for disciplinary reasons.

After producing a superb performance during the last World Cup, Algeria are widely tipped to win the Nations Cup that will start on 17 January in Equatorial Guinea.

They were paired in group C alongside Ghana, Senegal and South Africa.

Algeria's last Nations Cup title was in 1990 when they hosted the continental tournament.
