Egyptian actor Khalil Morsi dead at 68

Egyptian TV, film and theatre actor and director Khalil Morsi died on Tuesday following a sudden health crisis

The popular Egyptian actor Khalil Morsi died on Tuesday in Salam hospital in the south Cairo district of Maadi. He was 68.

According to Al-Ahram's Arabic news website, the actor had been brought to the hospital the previous evening due to sudden health crisis.

Morsi was best known for several appearances in films and TV series, with the most recent ones being the series Rabia Al-Ghadab (2013), Wanis wa Labad wa Ahwal al Bilad (2013), Al-Ragol Al-Eanab (2013).

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, 6 August.
