Masked men on motorcycles threw Molotov cocktails at a police station in Giza on Friday, causing no damage or injuries, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.
Surveillance footage shows eight masked men throwing petrol bombs at the building in Faysal, a busy district in Haram, before fleeing the scene.
Elsewhere in the country, unidentified assailants set two government vehicles alight in the Suez Canal city of Port Said. The explosion caused by the attack caused no casualties.
Egypt has been rocked by militant violence over the past year, mostly targeting police, troops and state institutions.
