Haras El-Hodoud striker Ahmed Hassan Mekki has officially signed for Zamalek on a three-year contract, the Cairo giants announced late on Tuesday.
"Mekki is officially a Zamalek player after signing a three-year contract with the club," the Whites said in a statement on their official website without disclosing the financial details.
Zamalek claimed their first Egyptian Premier League title in 11 years without kicking a ball on Tuesday after nearest challengers Ahly were held to a 1-1 draw by Smouha, ending a long wait for an elusive crown.
Zamalek have an unassailable five-point lead over Ahly with one match remaining for the latter.
Mekki, 28 years old, is the latest summer signing for Zamalek. The Whites have already landed Masry's left back Mohamed Adel Gomaa, Mansoura's striker Mohamed Mekawy, and their former forward Mohamed Ibrahim after he ended a brief stint with Portuguese side Maritimo.
On Monday, the club also continued rebuilding after signing Arab Contractors duo Mohamed Salem and Sherif Alaa on five-year contracts.
Haras El-Hodoud are currently eighth at the Egyptian league table with 52 points. Mekki scored 11 goal with the military team this season.
