Workers killed in Maadi bridge collapse, families block road in protest

Tens of workers have blocked the Maadi Nile road protesting the death of four workers on site. The protesters, mostly relatives of the workers, refused to allow cars to pass, angered by the incident.

The workers died because of a bridge collapse. They are Ahmed Mansour Abd El-Wahed, 25, Mohamed Samir Amer, 27, Mohamed Gomaa, 28, and the identity of the fourth worker remains unknown.

Police and military police interfered to end the protest and resume the flow of traffic.
