‘The Autism Ordeal’ (2016), a documentary by Egyptian journalist Noha El-Hennawy, will screen at NVIC (The Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo) on 28 February, followed by a Q&A session with El-Hennawy.
In the ‘The Autism Ordeal’, “mothers of autistic children tell their stories, taking viewers on a journey to explore the world of autism, and expressing genuine fears of a murky future in an intolerant society,” reads the statement on the event’s Facebook page.
NVIC had hosted El-Hennawy in October 2015, and screened her documentary titled ‘Ibnak National Am International’ (2013) in which she examined the phenomenon of international schools in Egypt.
