Zamalek will have a tough mission on Monday when they face the resilient Ittihad of Alexandria in a rescheduled league game at Alexandria Stadium.

The title holders will be looking for their fourth straight win to keep pressure on leaders Ahly at the top of the table.

Ahly are leading the table with 62 points, eight ahead of second-placed Zamalek, who have no choice but to win in the seven remaining games to keep alive their hopes of winning the domestic league, waiting for archrivals Ahly to slump in the upcoming games.

Zamalek coach Mohamed Helmi, who is the club's fifth coach this season, announced a 19-man list for Monday's clash.

The list saw the return of the team's top scorer Mahmoud 'Kahraba' Abdel-Moneam, who missed the White Knights' 2-0 win over Petrojet for disciplinary reasons last week.

The injured duo of keeper Ahmed El-Shennawy and skilful playmaker Ayman Hefny will miss the game as they still need time to recover from their injuries, which sidelined them for three weeks.

Forward Ahmed Hamoudi, who made an assist against Petrojet, was dropped for technical reasons.

Defensive midfielder Tarek Hamed will also miss the game due to automatic suspension after receiving his third yellow card against Petrojet.

Hamed's absence will be a headache for the technical staff, as the team relies strongly on the great defensive capabilities of the 29-year-old.

On the other hand, Ittihad of Alexandria, who secured their place among the elite for next season, will be looking for a win to improve their place in the league table.

The Alexandrian team is far off the dropping zone at 13th place, but the team's current position is frustrating for its fans.

The team’s results have improved since the arrival of experienced coach Mokhtar Mokhtar, who guided the team to clinch 10 points in the past five games.

A win against Zamalek will confirm that the team is on the right track.
