On 25 December 2016, the Cairo Opera House launched online ticketing sales, according to the institution's information service.
Those wishing to attend upcoming concerts can now book tickets online instead of directly purchasing them at the ticketing office.
To purchase tickets online, users need to log onto the Cairo Opera House website, and create an account if they do not already have one. The transaction is done through the website, and requires the use of a credit card.
This service is currently available for all upcoming concerts except for the Angham concert on 2 January and the Omar Khairat concerts on 17 and 18 January 2017.
In parallel to the online ticketing service, the audience can still purchase tickets in person, at the Opera House's ticketing office.
Several cultural institutions have previously made use of online ticketing platforms, such as the Biblioteca Alexandrina, whose Arts Centre launched a similar service for their events in July 2016.
