Vocalist Amy Frega and bassist Samer George who go by the name of Voice & Bass are due to perform at Cairo’s Magnolia on Saturday 28 January.

Frega made her singing debut with her first band The Ka-ssettes and went on to perform with other music groups including the Jazz ensemble, Arab Music Ensemble, Chamber Singers and Cairo Choral Society.

Today, she's a member and vocal coach in Fabrica troupe, and choir conductress at SOL Academy. 

For his part, George is a member of multiple bands including Eftekasat, Nagham Masry and the Riff Band.

His new release All You Need is Bass “features the bass as a leading and accompanying instrument,” reads the event description on Facebook. George is also a music instructor at both the American University in Cairo (AUC) and the British School in Cairo (BISC).
