US President Donald Trump will meet with the leaders of a number of Arab states, including Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, in New York on Wednesday, while both are attending the UN General Assembly, Reuters reported
Trump is also set to meet King Abdullah of Jordan, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, according to the White House.
The theme of this year's general assembly is “Focusing on People: Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for All on a Sustainable Planet.”
The US president, who took office in January, has recently sent two special diplomatic envoys to the area to jump start negotiations between Palestinians and Israeli to reach a lasting solution to the Palestine-Israel conflict.
