Veteran Egyptian journalist Ibrahim Saeda dies at 81

Well-known journalist Ibrahim Saeda died on Wednesday at the age of 81.

Saeda was born on 3 November, 1937 in Port Said.

He studied political economy in Switzerland before begining a long career in journalism.

His journalistic career was associated with the state-owned Akhbar Al-Youm news organization, where he served as editor-in-chief the AKhbar Al-Youm daily before becoming CEO of the organization.

Funeral services for Saeda will be held on Thursday in Cairo.
