Egypt considers the Gulf region’s security a main pillar of Arab regional security, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi told Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman on Saturday during the G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan.

According to an official statement, Egyptian presidency spokesman Bassam Rady said that El-Sisi told the Saudi crown prince that Gulf security is connected to Egypt’s national security.

The two leaders exchanged viewpoints on various regional conflicts, where the discussions reflected a common understanding over how to deal with these issues.

They both agreed on continued joint efforts to boost cooperation between Arab countries to defeat increasing threats to regional security.
