Tamer Hosni, one of Egypt’s most popular pop stars, has requested his fans 'to pray for him' to finish shooting and post production of his new film on time.

"On my way to the gym then the shooting. Pray for us to catch-up the feast," Hosni stated through social media Tuesday morning gaining thousands of interactions from his millions of fans.

The Muslim's Adha feast, a season for cinema in Egypt for decades, officially starts on Sunday 10 August, and Hosni still has a lot of work ahead of him.

His targeting of the season is even suggested by the name of the film 'Kol Sana Wenta Tayeb' (Happy Holidays), directed by Lebanese Said El-Marouk.

The film also stars Zeinah, Khaled El-Sawy and Mohamed Sallam.

El-Marouk, who directed tens of music videos for famous Arab singers, is the maker of 2011's 365 Days of Happiness for stars Ahemd Ezz and Donia Samir Ghanem.

Last summer, the busy artist’s romantic comedy movie 'El-Badla', which featured the successful comedian Akram Hosni, was a box-office record-breaker.

Hosni's last album 'Eish Bshouak' (Live with Passion) released in 2018, receiving tens of millions views on YouTube, and featured many singers like Algerian Rai legend Khaled.

The talent-show judge's last concert was in Dubai in early June, with his latest appearance with Lebanese star Nancy Ajram in an advertising campaign during the Holy Month of Ramdan .
