Egypt's Masry are likely to ease into the CAF Confederation Cup playoff when they host Zanzibar's Malindi in the second leg of the competition's second preliminary round on Sunday.
The Port-Said based club secured an easy 4-1 victory away from home in the first leg, and barring a stunning upset, they will book a spot in the playoff, where they will face one of the teams who will exit the Champions League for a place in the group stage.
Masry can now relax after a period of uncertainty surrounding the future of their coach Ihab Galal, who helped them to a fourth-place finish last season.
Galal was heavily linked with Egypt's managerial post but the deal did not materialize following disagreements over his backroom staff, with ex-Ahly boss Hossam El-Badry eventually taking up the job.
Masry opened their Egyptian Premier League campaign with a 1-1 draw with Haras El-Hodoud.
