Zagazig criminal court in the NIle Delta handed death sentences to six members of the terrorist-designated Muslim Brotherhood over killing of policemen in Sharqiya governorate in 2016.

The court also sentenced six other defendants in the case to 10 years in jail.

The verdicts can be appealed.

Prosecution had charged the 13 members of the Brotherhood cell of joining the outlawed group, attempting to overthrow the government, fomenting chaos, and murder and attempted murder of policemen.
