The number of deaths among Egypt’s security forces from Wednesday's violent dispersal of two Brotherhood-led sit-in has risen to 70 according to a source from the Ministry of Interior.
The dead security personnel include 24 officers, 24 policemen, 21 conscripts and one civil servant.
The security forces all died in clashes between security forces and supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi during the forceful dispersal of the two main sit-ins in Rabaa El Adaweya in Nasry City and El Nahda Square in Giza demanding the reinstatement of Morsi.
