Students at Ain Shams University gathered Saturday to protest the killing of their colleague, engineering student Bilal Gaber, in Friday clashes.
Protesters held posters of the four-finger "Rabaa" sign, with slogans that read, "As long as the student's blood is cheap there will not be university or education."
The protest was called for by the Youth Against Coup movement.
Nineteen-year-old Saber was killed as a protest in support of ousted president Mohamed Morsi approached Rabaa Al-Adawiya, the site of a pro-Morsi sit-in that was forcibly dispersed in August leaving hundreds dead.
Several protests took to the streets Friday marking 100 days since Morsi's ouster.
