An Egyptian driver and a Russian tourist died in a microbus accident in the Sinai Peninsula Wednesday, on the road between the resort cities of Dahab and Sharm El-Sheikh.
Another 10 passengers were injured in the accident. Nine Russian tourists and their Egyptian guide were subsequently transferred to Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital, reported Al-Ahram Arabic news website.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), approximately 12,000 die in road accidents every year in Egypt. According to a 2012 WHO report, Egypt is among the worst 10 countries in road safety.
