Egypt's Supreme Electoral Committee (SEC) announced late Thursday that the final and official results of this week's referendum on a new constitution would be announced Saturday evening, 18 January.
According to the SEC, the results, including voter turnout numbers, will be announced at the headquarters of the Egyptian Information Service.
Preliminary results indicate that around 97.7 percent of voters endorse the new constitution.
