Tunisia's overseas-based players for AFCON 2019 include Ahly's Maaloul, Zamalek's Sassi

The Tunisian national team have announced the overseas-based players they are calling up for the 2019 African Cup of Nations, including Ahly left-back Ali Maaloul and Zamalek winger Ferjani Sassi.

Under the helm of Tunisia coach Alain Giresse, the Eagles of Carthage will start their 11-day preparatory camp for AFCON 2019 on 1 June.

The Tunisia foreign-based players' squad did not feature Zamalek fullback Hamdi Nagguez.

Tunisia were drawn in Group E alongside Mali, Mauritania and Angola.

The Nations Cup, which has been expanded to 24 teams, will take place in Egypt from 21 June to 19 July.

Tunisia’s 17-man overseas squad:

Goalkeepers: Farouk bin Mostafa (Al-Shabab – Saudi Arabia), Moaz Hassan (Nice - France)

Defenders: Mohamed Dräger (SC Paderborn - Germany), Rami El-Badawi (Al-Faihaa - Saudi Arabia), Yassine Meriah (Olympiacos - Greece), Dylan Bronn (Gent - Belgium), Oussama Haddadi (Dijon - France), Ali Maaloul (Ahly - Egypt)

Midfielders: Ferjani Sassi (Zamalek - Egypt), Nader El-Gendari (Westerlo - Belgium), Elias Sukhairi (Montpellier - France), Naim Sliti (Dijon - France), Youssef Msakni (Eupen - Belgium).

Strikers: Saif-Eddine Khaoui (Stade Malherbe Caen - France),Wahbi Khazri (Sainte Etienne - France), Fakhreddine Ben Youssef (Al-Ittifaq – Saudi Arabia), Bassem Sraffi (Nice - France).
