Pyramids' holding midfielder Nabil 'Dunga' Emad is one of the rising stars in Egyptian football, with his domestic form earning him a call-up to Egypt's squad.

Nicknamed Dunga after his Brazilian idol, the 23-year old is a classic number 6 who sits in front of his defence to break up attacks from opponents.

He is an energetic midfielder who covers a lot of ground. He also have a tendency to move forward and threaten opponents with his long-range rockets.

Emad was rewarded for his strong performance last March when he got his first call-up for the Pharaohs, playing the full 90 minutes in Egypt's 1-1 draw against Niger in the Nations Cup qualifiers.

The 23-year-old made a fine impact during that game, ensuring Egypt coach Javier Aguirre would have a reliable substitute for Zamalek's Tarek Hamed in the heart of the team's midfield.

It's unlikely that he will have a starting role with Egypt but he remains an important card on the bench.
