Uganda coach Sebastien Desabre announced on Tuesday his team's 23-man final squad that will be participating in the 2019 African Cup of Nations, which is taking place in Egypt from 21 June to 19 July.
Uganda were drawn in Group A alongside hosts Egypt, DR Congo and Zimbabwe.
KCCA’s Sadam Juma, Carlstad United’s Alexis David Bbakka and Viper's midfielder Moses Waiswa were the prominent names excluded by the French tactician from the final roster.
The record seven-time African champions Egypt will kick off the tournament by playing Zimbabwe on 21 June, while they will meet Uganda in their final match of the group stage on 30 June.
Uganda will take on Cote d’Ivoire next Saturday in their final preparatory match before heading to Egypt for the prestigious tournament.
