Egypt is not only Salah and Trezeguet, we are ready for the clash, says South Africa coach

South Africa coach Stuart Baxter has confirmed that his team is ready to face Egypt in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations knockout stage on Saturday, saying the Pharaohs are not just Liverpool's winger Mohamed Salah and Kasimpasa's midfielder Mahmoud 'Trezeguet' Hassan.

Egypt will face South Africa in the last round of 16 match at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday at Cairo Stadium, after qualifying as Group A winners with a maximum nine points with wins over Zimbabwe, DR Congo and Uganda.

"The tournament is quic; we played three games in a short time," Baxter said at the pre-game's press conference on Friday.

"We are optimistic about facing Egypt as we know their passion and I think they will have more pressure,"

"We have to play well since Egypt is a good team and we have to be ready for the game,"

"Egypt and Morocco are the finest teams in the tournament so far, and we did our best to beat Morocco, but we failed. So we have find a way to beat the Pharaohs," the South Africa coach said.

"Egypt national team is not only Salah and Trezeguet. They have a brilliant midfielder and two talented defenders. We just hope to finish the game with positive results tomorrow,"  Stuart Baxter added.

Egypt advanced as Group A winners with the maximum nine points following wins over Zimbabwe, DR Congo and Uganda.

South Africa qualified for the knockout phase from Group D as one of the best four third-placed sides, collecting three points.
