Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan hinted on Tuesday that he could retire from international football following the Black stars' elimination from the Nations Cup round of 16.

Ghana were knocked out after losing 5-4 on penalties to Tunisia following a 1-1 draw in Ismailia on Monday, to the disappointment of the 33-year-old who was eager to end his country's 37-year title drought.

"I don't really know right now but it could be my last Africa Cup of Nations but you might never know," Gyan was quoted as saying by Ghanasoccernet.

"I have to go home and think about it."

Gyan, who has featured in seven Nations Cup editions, is Ghana's all-time top scorer with 51 goals.
