The Canadian embassy in Cairo will remain closed Monday until further notice due to security concerns, according to a statement on its website.
"The ability to provide consular services may occasionally be limited for short periods due to unsettled security conditions," the statement added.
Ahram Online tried to contact the embassy over the phone but received a recorded message.
Canadians are advised to call the emergency operations officer in Ottawa for urgent matters.
Meanwhile, public services at the British embassy in Cairo remain suspended for a second day.
British ambassador John Casson said the decision was taken to ensure the security of the embassy and its staff.
