Egypt will send two military cargo planes to Tunisia carrying winter supplies, as defense minister Sedky Sobhy ordered Tuesday, according to a statement by the armed forces on their official Facebook page.
The airplanes will carry blankets, food supplies and heating materials to help Tunisians face harsh weather conditions.
The orders came in response to instructions by Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to send two c130-type aircraft to the Tunisian capital, Tunis.
The United Arab Emirates also sent winter supplies to Tunis Sunday in to face the sudden temperature drop.
Tunisia has witnessed a snow storm last week, with low temperatures and strong wind.
