Bodies of six Egyptians killed in a bombing in eastern Libya arrived at the Libyan-Egyptian border on Saturday to be repatriated, the manager of the border crossing told MENA news agency.
At least 25 people were killed and 30 wounded Friday in a triple bombing in the town of Al-Qoba close to the jihadist stronghold of Derna.
The six Egyptians killed were identified as Sami Abdel-Maqsoud Bakr (35), Ayman Kamel Abdel-Razik (18), Abdel-Razik Gouda (24), Fathi Atef Ismail (37), Adel Farag Abdel-Azim (20) and Mohamed Abdel-Nabi Abdel-Hamid (20).
The simultaneous bombings targeted police headquarters, the home of the speaker of Libya's internationally recognised parliament, and a petrol station, a source told AFP.
Al-Qoba is just 30 kilometres west of Derna, where Egypt launched air strikes against jihadist targets on Monday in retaliation for a gruesome Islamic State group video showing the beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians.
