The Egyptian cabinet said on Saturday the terrorist threat against France is similar to that Egypt is facing, reiterating the importance of unity to combat militancy.
The statement came following the terrorist assaults that struck Paris Friday night, killing at least 128 people.
"Such terrorist crimes highlight the pressing and urgent need for countries in the world to unite to put an end to terrorism," a cabinet statement read.
The ISIS militant group claimed on Saturday responsibility for the series of coordinated attacks that targeted six different sites by suicide bombers and gunmen in Paris.
French President Francois Hollande called the assault an "act of war" as authorities declared a state of national emergency across France.
