Court accepts appeal against erasing the name of the ousted president from public property

A Cairo court today accepted an appeal against erasing the name of ousted President Hosni Mubarak from public areas.

The appeal for 'urgent matters' also transferred the case to the Administrative Court. Small clashes broke out in court during the session.

After Mubarak stepped down, Cairo's Court approved erasing his names from public property, most notably with the removal of the 30-year ruler's name from a metro station near the centre of the capital.
