The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) says rains are expected to fall Saturday in several governorates across Egypt.

According to a statement issued by the authority, a drop of 3 to 5 degrees Celsius will be witnessed in all governorates, with temperatures expected to fall as the day grows darker.

Maritime transportation in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean will be disrupted due to anticipated winds.

Cairo is expected to witness a high of 17 degrees Celsius and a low of 10, and the coastal city of Alexandria will see a high of 18 and a low of 12.

Meanwhile, Suez Canal cities (Ismailia, Suez, and Port Said) are expected to see a high of 17 and a low of 10.

The Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh is expected to witness a high of 21 and a low of 15, while Hurghada is expected to see a high of 23 and a low of 11.

Heavy rains are expected to fall in northern cities including Alexandria, Damietta, and Matrouh.

The Beheira and Alexandria governorates witnessed in the beginning of the winter season heavy rains which resulted in flooding, causing the deaths of dozens of Egyptians.

Bad weather conditions have repeatedly paralysed life in different parts of the country due to overall deterioration in infrastructure.
