The Cabinet will review Tuesday understandings reached between the ruling military council and a number of political parties that met together Saturday

The Cabinet will hold a meeting Tuesday to discuss new amendments to the elections law as well as amendments to the new constitutional declaration issued last week.

The meeting will discuss the amendment of Article 5 of the elections law that was approved by the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) after its meeting with representatives of a number of political parties on Saturday.

The Cabinet will also review what was discussed between the parties and SCAF, from suspending emergency law to activating the law on treachery, to banning members of the now defunct National Democratic Party from political life.

The weekly meeting of the Cabinet is usually held on Wednesday, but due to pressing developments it will be held this week a day early.
