Temperatures are expected to reach 35 degrees in Cairo on Saturday and the northern parts of the country,, with lows of 19 in the capital.
The northern coast and the northern cities of Upper Egypt will also be affected by the higher temperatures.
Clouds and fog will affect visibility in the early hours of Saturday morning on the northern coast, the Nile Delta, Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, and central Sinai, while the wind will be active in different parts of Cairo, northern Upper Egypt and South Sinai causing disturbance in maritime navigation, MENA reported.
Temperatures in Upper Egypt will be higher with Luxor and Aswan reaching highs of 40 and 41 degrees and lows of 22 and 24 respectively.
Temperatures will also be high in the touristic resorts of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada, with highs of 37 and 36 and lows of 25 and 24 respectively.
The coastal city of Alexandria will witness moderate weather conditions with highs of 29 and lows of 18 degrees Celsius.
The Mediterranean will experience light-to-moderate waves, between 1-1.5 metres in height, while the Red Sea will experience high waves of between 2 -2.5 metres.
A heatwave earlier this week saw temperatures in Cairo reach 40 degrees or more.
