Egyptian and Russian paratroopers will take part in a joint military exercise on Russian territory in August, according to the Russian Defence Ministry.
The "Protectors of Friendship" exercise will take place in Krasnodar, 148 kilometres northeast of the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk.
It will include the deployment of troops, joint paratroop operations, military manoeuvres and exercises to capture a mountainous area.
In October 2016, the two nations' airborne forces held a similar exercise close to Al-Alamein, a coastal city 100 miles west of Alexandria.
Egypt and Russia have been stepping up military cooperation in recent years.
Last Month, Egypt's Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi and Russian counterpart Sergey Shoigu meet in Cairo, discussing ways of boosting military cooperation.
In 2015, Russia and Egypt held a joint naval exercise off the coast of Alexandria, including supply and communication exercises, search operations, and defence and live-firing exercises.
