Egypt's Sisi, Saudi Arabia's Salman discuss coordinating efforts to face challenges in region

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Saudi Arabia's King Salman Bin Abdel-Aziz discussed during a Friday phone call means of coordinating efforts and boosting joint Arab work to confront threats and challenges that threaten the security and stability of the region.

In an official statement, Egyptian Presidency spokesman Bassam Rady said President El-Sisi received a call from King Salman, where they discussed means of strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries in different fields in light of "the historical and distinctive relationship between them."

According to Rady, the two leaders also discussed a number of regional issues, agreeing on "continuing joint efforts and extensive consultations to accomplish the interests of both brotherly countries and the Arab nations."
