Egypt's President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi is set to receive on Monday in Cairo his Vietnamese counterpart Tran Dai Quang, who started a visit to the country on Saturday.
The visit aims to discuss boosting joint cooperation in various fields, especially on increasing volume of trade exchange and investments between both countries.
Sisi and Quang are scheduled to hold a joint press conference on the outcome of their meeting.
Quang will arrive in Cairo coming from Luxor, which he started a touristic tour in on Saturday. The Luxor trip is part of the Vietnamese leader's four day visit to Egypt.
Egypt and Vietnam have been enjoying improving trade partnership and investment relaations in recent years.
Vietnam imports chemicals, honey, petroleum products, dairy products and textiles from Egypt at a value of $ 8.7 million annually.
Egyptian imports from Vietnam amount to $ 221.3 million per year and include fish, sea food, textiles, clothing, mobile phones, equipment, spare parts, and vehicles.
Vietnam and Egypt celebrate the 55th anniversary of the diplomatic relations this year.
