Egypt's interior ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that police have killed 15 terrorists in a shootout in North Sinai's El-Arish City.

The ministry said that the farm hideout was located by the national security department at the ministry.

The ministry added that the terrorists were planning on carrying out hostile operations during the anniversary of Egypt’s 6 October victory.

Police found five automatic rifles, four birdshot guns, three improvised explosive devices and a large quantity of ammunition.
