Egypt condemns Pittsburgh synagogue terror attack

Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned terror attack in a Pittsburgh synagogue in the United States on Saturday that left 11 people killed and six injured, Al-Ahram Arabic website reported.

" Egypt completely condemns the attack and rejects all shapes of terrorism, violence and radicalism including the targeting places of worship," Egypt's foreign ministry official spokesperson Ahmed Hafez was quoted in Al-Ahram website.  

On Saturday, 11 people, mostly elders, were killed while 6 others were injured by a gunman in a synagogue during a Shabbat religious service in the city of Pittsburgh in one what was described as the deadliest attack against the Jewish community in US history.

The suspected gunman, 46-years-old Robert Bowers of Pittsburg, is currently detained and being investigated by US authorities
