Egypt will see a continuation of cold, unstable weather conditions until the end of the working week, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority said on Tuesday.
Dusty and sandy winds are forecast for the northern parts of the country, which may cause disturbances in navigation in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.
Rain is expected on Tuesday on the north coast and may extend to parts of the Nile Delta and Cairo, the statement added.
Alexandria and Dekheila ports remain closed on Tuesday due to the weather conditions, including wind speeds that have reached 40 knots and waves up to 4 metres high.
In Beheira governorate on Tuesday, fishing activities were suspended at the fishing port in Maadia village and at Rashid fishing port.
The cities of Edku, Rashid and Kafr El-Dawar in Beheira saw heavy rain and strong winds, according to governorate officials.
The unstable weather conditions will continue until Thursday, according to the meteorologist authority.
