All bodies of the Egyptian government will be relocated to the New Administrative Capital in mid-2020, chairman of the New Administrative Capital company Mohamed Abdel Latif said on Thursday.

The official made the remarks during a press conference to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the New Administrative Capital company and a firm to transfer the technology of smart cities to the administrative capital.

Abdel Latif said the MoU includes setting up the first control center with total investments of EGP 1.5 billion.

He added that electronic equipment will be provided for the center at a total cost of $37 million.

The official also noted that the administrative capital is entirely self-financed.
