Head of the House of Representatives' Housing Committee Alaa Wali said on Thursday the proposed amendments to the Unified Building Law 119/2008 will be raised at the next parliamentary session.

He said the amendments will remove all hurdles facing citizens, expecting them to be approved during the fifth and last legislative season of the parliament in October.

The new amendments will help face encroachments on cultivated lands, unlicensed buildings and facilitate licence procedures to be concluded in 2 weeks, he added.
