Egypt's PM flies to Washington for annual meetings of World Bank, IMF

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly flew to Washington, DC late on Monday for the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund which runs through Sunday.

The World Bank Group/International Monetary Fund 2019 Annual Meetings bring together around 3,000 delegates from around the world including central bankers, finance ministers, private sector executives and parliamentarians to discuss issues of global concern including the world economic outlook and poverty eradication.

The IMF said this year's meetings will feature seminars and regional briefings focused on the global economy, international development, and the world's financial system.

The gatherings take place from 14 to 10 October.
