Egypt's Sisi stresses importance of objective selection of Police Academy students

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi stressed the importance of adopting unbiased criteria in the Police Academy's admission tests during a tour of the academy on Saturday morning

The president visited the academy's admission committee during the tests given to new students.

According to a statement by Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady, the president's visit was the result of his interest in picking distinctive students who can "be able to lift the heavy responsibility of the security message."

Rady said El-Sisi, while attending the tests, discussed with a number of applicants domestic and foreign issues in addition to public affairs related to the history of and developments in Egypt.

The president expressed his content with the applicants' awareness and sound understanding of the events affecting Egypt's national security.

Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik and a number of Police Academy and Interior Ministry officials accompanied the president on his visit.
