Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio have stressed that efforts should be intensified to restore security and stability in Libya and rejected any foreign military intervention in the Arab country.

Shoukry had a phone call on Monday with Di Maio as part of ongoing consultations between Egypt and Italy on the Libyan crisis.

They reviewed the latest developments in the situation in Libya, spokesman for the foreign ministry Ahmed Hafez said.
