Egypt reported on Wednesday 14 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 210, while the death toll remains at six, the health ministry announced.

The 14 new cases detected on Wednesday include two foreigners, and all of them had come in contact with previously announced positive cases.

The ministry said in a statement that the number of coronavirus patients who later tested negative for the virus has reached 40.

Of the 40 case, two new patients have fully recovered and left the isolation hospital, raising the total number of recoveries so far to 28, ministry spokesman Khaled Megahed stated.

“All the newly reported cases are in isolation hospitals undergoing medical treatment in accordance with World Health Organization’s guidelines,” Megahed said.
