Egypt detected 128 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, reporting a total tally of 101,900 cases since the outbreak began in February.
The health ministry also reported 17 new deaths, bringing the total deaths from the virus to 5,750.
The statement said that 708 patients had been discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recoveries to 88,666.
Egypt saw a slight increase in the daily tally of coronavirus cases in recent weeks, reversing a low of 89 on August 22, the lowest daily case toll since April.
Egyptian authorities have warned that the country has not yet emerged from the crisis, urging caution to avoid a second wave of the pandemic, particularly with the advent of autumn.
