A few thousands have started marching to the Egyptian Ministry of Defence (MOD) after Friday prayers finished in response to calls for the "Final Friday" protests which aim at ending "military rule" in Egypt.

Marches have taken off from six main locations around Cairo to join the week-long sit-in just outside MOD, which is located in Cairo's Abbasiya area.

According to Ahram Online reporter who is currently moving with a large march in the Ramses area, protesters are chanting "Down with SCAF!", "Where are the thugs? here are the protestors!", and "Tantawi is Mubarak!"

Protestors demand removing the cabinet of Prime Minister Kamal El-Ganzouri. They also call for scrapping Article 28 of the March 2011 constitutional declaration – which states that the decisions of the committee overseeing the presidential elections are final, and cannot be appealed.

April 6 Movement, along with some Salafist leaders have called for Friday's marches after 7 people were killed in deadly clashes between protesters and unknown assailant in front of the MOD on Wednesday.

The revolutionary socialists and the Kefaya movement have also joined the marches.

Meanwhile, some Islamists on the march chanted "bread, freedom and Islamic Sharia!"

Unknown assailants attacked the protesters in Abbasiya in the early hours of Wednesday with cement-based bombs, stones, Molotov cocktails, birdshot guns and teargas canisters.
