Cairo's Criminal Court is holding its second session in the infamous trial of police officer Mohamed El-Shinnawy, commonly known as the 'eye-sniper.'
The court plans to review evidence during Tuesday's session.
El-Shinnawy is facing charges of attempted murder against five victims whose eyes he deliberately targeted with shotguns loaded with birdshot.
The accused was identified after a video of him shooting at protesters was circulated on the internet.
Forty protesters were killed during the clashes in November between police and unarmed protesters on Mohamed Mahmoud Street adjacent to Tahrir Square.
