April 6 Youth Movement announced in a statement Tuesday the end of their participation in the Tahrir Square sit-in. Other groups and political forces have also ended their participation in the sit-in that has lasted for thirteen days.
Though demands of the sit-in have not been fulfilled, such as dropping a constitutional addendum recently issued by the military council, the statement pointed to other tools and methods to achieve these demands, and will work with other political forces to do so.
The group added that they will resume the sit-in if the addendum, which strips the presidential office of several powers, is not annulled.
