The Revolution Youth Coalition (RYC) has delayed until Saturday a press conference announcing its dissolution, without giving reasons for the decision.
The news was confirmed to Ahram Online by coalition members Mohamed El-Qasas and Shadi Ghazaly Harb.
The Revolution Youth Coalition, a group formed during the January 25 Revolution, brought together youth from diverse ideological backgrounds including liberals, Islamists, and socialists.
RYC announced last week the group would be disbanded because its main demand – a democratically elected civilian president – had been met. Moreover, many of the coalition's members have moved to newly formed parties over the course of last year.
Saturday's press conference will take place at the El-Sawy Culturewheel in Zamalek, Cairo.
