Egyptian journalist, Shaimaa Adel, has been released from Sudenese detention and is scheduled to arrive back in Cairo with President Mohamed Morsi on Monday.
The reporter from the Egyptian newspaper Al-Watan was arrested on 3 July while covering anti-regime protests in Sudan.
Adel has been released and is now in Addis Ababa, where the president was taking part in the African Union Summit.
The decision to release Adel came following a meeting between Egypt's Morsi and Sudanese president Omar Al-Bashir.
Shaimaa Adel is the second Egyptian reporter to be arrested in Sudan while covering protests against the regime in Khartoum. Ahram Online and Bloomberg reporter Salma El-Wardany was earlier arrested and subsequently deported after being held for nearly a week.
